Learn from magazine headlines and grab your reader’s attention!

Create a blog post title that will make a reader click.

Even this post title could be a little more attention grabbing if we changed it to “Is This Microphone On? No One is Commenting on my Blog!” or “Is Anyone Listening to Me? My Blog has No Comments!”

Ask more than one question. Most bloggers wait until the end of their blog post to ask one final question. But if you spread out the questions and vary them throughout the post, you’re more likely to get comments.

Be newsy or timely. Follow the day’s headlines and write an inspired post. You’ll benefit from comments and SEO since it will be a searchable topic. Your audience will see that you’re “on top of things” and the go-to source for news.

Reveal something about yourself. Personal posts are a great way to connect with your audience. They may sympathize with you or get angry with you, and will likely leave a comment to let you know.

Be controversial. Take a stance on a controversial topic. People who agree and disagree with you – will leave a comment.

Make commenting easier. Explore the usability of your comment plugin. Consider installing the Comment Love Plugin, which leaves a link to a blogger’s last post  below their comment and make them more likely to comment.
