Let’s find out more about Laura!

Niche Mommy (NM): What influenced you to start blogging and why?
Laura Termini (LT): As a public figure you always want to change the world, but is very difficult since you are doing everything to work and re invent yourself in the business world. in 2007, I was hosting a morning radio show, which gave me one of the most wonderful experiences interacting with an audience. Unfortunately it was one of the most hostile environments I have ever worked in, which forced some situations to arise that concluded in me leaving the show.  For the first time of my life I fall into a mild-severe depression. I fully recovered doing all kinds of natural therapies. A few years go by, two independent movies, a couple of theatre of performances later, and then One day I find myself doing a radio interview and they asked my beauty routine, some friend listened and called me “Laura you are so good at this whole holistic beauty stuff, please write a book. I want to know more”.  A few nights after while researching for new ways to have a better and healthier life; a bright bulb went of!!! “Eureka” all of the sudden it hit me! I wanted to learn, write and work with everything related to this and most importantly; I wanted to share it with the world. I said to myself, maybe it is too soon for a book but, What about a blog?

NM: What on your resume are you most proud of?
LT: Everything I’ve done!

NM: How do you spend your free time?
LT: Free what? What is that? Jajaja… I actually love dancing! That and Movies are my favorite past time.

NM: What do you think is your biggest hurdle?
LT: I have a particular mindset. I have the ability to change fast. I don’t spend time complaining. I hate being a victim; I’m intense, so I take the bull by the horns and move on.

NM: What’s on your bucket list for 2012?
LT: Wow! Turn Natural, Organic and Latina into the “Number 1” Healthy and Natural multicultural/multiplatform beauty and lifestyle movement in the USA and going on national TV as the “Chica NOL” what you would call in English “a girl that is Natural, Organic and Latina”.

NM: What’s your cure for writer’s block?
LT: Move my butt and dance like crazy, opening a mini bottle of champagne and toast with myself!

NM: Who is your hero and why?
LT: I tend not to idealize human beings, we have flaws, but any person who has compassion for another human being, animals and the planet, is a hero in my book.

NM: Mac or PC?
LT: Mac Girl!
