Tiffany Haywood, North Carolina Lifestyle Blogger

What inspired you to start a blog?
I started my blog as a place to write my poetry, musings and reflections. It was more of an online journal than anything else. I was a Military Spouse home with four kiddies, three who were under seven and one who was in full teenager mode.  My husband was deployed and I needed adult interaction – STAT!
How would you describe your blog niche?
My blog would fall into the lifestyle niche. TheMrsTee is about everything that makes me – ME. My Faith, Family, Fashion, Food, Fun, Tech & Travel.
Tell us about a typical work day as a blogger. What time do you stop/start your workday?
As a stay-at-home Mom, my workday has two versions: school days and summer.  During the school year, I have set work hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This allows me to get the most done during the time my kiddies are in school. Once I pick everyone up that’s family time: homework, dinner, etc. Depending on deadlines I may work from around 9 p.m. to midnight.
Once summer begins, my work days tend to be a bit more flexible. My kiddies sleep late during the summer so I work from about 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Family time, fun, activities, etc. take priority during the summer. I fit in a bit of work during the day when they are occupied on their own (TV, video games, art, etc.). Much like during the school year, I will work in some time after everyone is asleep to make any deadlines that may come up.
What’s your favorite part of creating YouTube videos?
My favorite part of creating YouTube Videos is sharing the voice and personality behind the words on my Blog. I love to give people a glimpse into what I do, how I react and where I am.
What’s your best tip for bloggers who are nervous about video blogging/vlogging?
Be your true self. Don’t try to imitate anyone else. It will be awkward, tiring and obvious to your audience. It’s so much easier to simply be yourself. This will draw those who are meant to be your followers. It will encourage true engagement and establish a loyal fan base.
Another part of beating the nerves when it comes to vlogging is to look at the camera as a friend. You’re chatting and sharing your day with a friend. Don’t think of how many people will be watching, fans, etc. It’s just you and a friend. Talk directly to the camera and have fun!

Describe your “dream” brand partnership?
Wow! This is a hard one. My ‘dream’ brand partnership would be long-term and mutually beneficial. I always love to work with brands who realize the work we put into what we do. In my dream partnership, the brand would offer support through boosts, shares, and cross-promotion of the content I create, financial compensation as well as room for growth in the form of guest posts, creative freedom, and input on future campaigns.
What’s the next big project you’re working on?
I’m working on building my Blog & Brand Consultation business through E-Guides, Consultations, Speaking Engagement and Online Workshops. I recently finished a Blogging 101 E-Guide that I am offering FREE to my audience. I also have three E-Guides available for purchase on TiffanyHaywood.com.

What do you want to accomplish by the end of the year?
By the end of 2018, I want to increase my page views, expand my reach/impact within my local community, establish a presence within Blogger Communities such as The Network Niche and begin speaking at local meetups and workshops.
I have been focused on being more active within my local community. I have joined our local Downtown Council to help organize local events. I also spend time interacting with local business owners to let them know I am here and what I can do to help support/promote their businesses.
If someone wrote your biography, what would be the title?
“All For Her Good”
This title is taken from a portion of one of my favorite scriptures Romans 8:28.:
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
This text has given me strength in some of my most difficult times by reminding me that no matter what I am going through – good or bad – it is all working together for my good.
I think this title would sum up my life perfectly because although I’ve had hard times each of those struggles have taught me lessons to make me the person I am today. The bad all helped bring me to my good.
What’s your favorite spot to visit in your city and why?
Anywhere Downtown Fayetteville is the perfect way to spend a day. From the unique coffee shops an eateries to the collection of shops and boutiques. My Fayetteville has a lot to offer for everyone!
