About Previous Speakers and Conferences:

For the 2013 conference, we had over 55 speakers and nearly 100 submissions! Because we really do want to allow time for professional development and Disney Magic, we are emphasizing quality over quantity this year. View our 2013 speakers  and 2012 agenda.

Panel/Workshop Selection Process:

We’re changing things up a bit with an exciting change! We will select several proposed sessions and workshops. However, we also want to know what speakers and sessions our attendees want to hear.  After all submissions have been received, and an initial selection process from our Advisory Board, we will be posting selected panels and putting them to a vote for our attendees to decide!

Criteria for Speaker & Panel Selection:

  • Proposal Outlines. Our preferred proposal method includes a brief summary of what attendees will learn and who the session targets (new bloggers, advanced bloggers, lifestyle bloggers, etc.).
  • Fresh content and topicsSocial media and blogging is an evergreen industry. Our attendees want new insights on what’s current in the industry.  Please don’t submit the same presentations that have been done several other times at other conferences.
  • Real tactics and tangible takeaways. During your proposal please explain what attendees will take-away from your session and who your session or workshop is targeting.

  • No selling or pitching from the podium/stage. Brand and agency reps are welcome to showcase their thought leadership on the subject presenting on. If you’d like to promote your product or service, however, we welcome you to do so as a sponsor.  Please reserve pitches for your exhibitor booth or other sponsorship opportunity and present on an industry related topic during your session.
  • Panels/co-panelists. In most cases each workshop or session will have a panel of speakers (two to three speakers for most sessions). Please submit names of co-panelists with your proposal or ask to be matched up. It is very rare for us to select just one person for a session.  In most cases, multiple perspectives will benefit attendees. Even if you submit to speak alone, please note that we will very likely pair you with a co-panelist.

Speaker proposals will be accepted until Friday, June 20, 2014. Entrants will be notified on a rolling basis or by July 1, 2014.
